Thies started his career at Hamburg Commercial Bank where he gained his first experience in mergers & acquisitions.
Before joining HHP in 2021, Thies was part of the Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services team of PwC in Frankfurt am Main. There, he advised, among others, companies on the preparation of financial statements as well as the issuance of bonds and supported the audit teams in special IFRS topics.
Thies’ education: Thies holds an M.Sc. in Money and Finance from Goethe University Frankfurt am Main as well as Bachelor’s degrees in economics (B.Sc.) and Business Administration (B.A.) from Leuphana University Lüneburg. He complemented his studies with stays abroad at Eastern Illinois University, USA and the Universiteit van Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Thies is fluent in German and English.
